British Airways challenge in the European Union’s top court over paying compensation to passengers delayed by more than three hours has failed. This upholds a decision set in 2009.

BA will now have to pay a fixed compensation amount for passengers arriving more than three hours after their scheduled arrival time unless there are extraordinary circumstances such as bad weather.
